Kapanlagi.com - The news stating that Farrel Legolas Rompies, one of the students who dropped out of Binus School, Serpong, South Tangerang, is denied. Yakup Hasibuan, Legolas' legal counsel, said that the 12th-grade student was not expelled, but asked to voluntarily leave the school.
"Asked to resign," said Yakup Hasibuan when met in Depok, West Java, on Saturday (24/2/2024).
Yakup Hasibuan said that the request for Vincent Rompies' eldest child to resign came when the case went viral on social media. Shortly after, the suspected bully students were summoned by the school.

"This child (Legolas) was examined without the presence of parents or psychologists. The next day, his parents were called and asked to resign," said Yakup Hasibuan.
Yakup Hasibuan strongly regrets the school's actions in asking the alleged perpetrators to voluntarily leave the school.
"It's unilateral and very hasty. Suddenly they say, 'please resign'," explained Yakup Hasibuan.
"Even though next week is the exam. So imagine, learning from first grade to third grade and the school should be able to guide," continued Yakup Hasibuan.
Yakup Hasibuan hopes for a resolution through a meeting between Vincent Rompies and the school. Of course, to find a solution.
"We will ask for a meeting to be held soon. Perhaps attended by the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection as well," concluded Yakup Hasibuan.
