Kapanlagi.com - South Tangerang Metro Police finally named four suspects out of 12 witnesses who have been questioned regarding the bullying case involving students of Binus School Serpong, South Tangerang.
The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of South Tangerang Police, AKP Alvino Cahyadi, revealed that the four individuals who have now been designated as suspects are E, R, J, and G.
"Four witnesses have been upgraded to suspects, who are suspected of committing acts of violence against underage children," said AKP Alvino Cahyadi when met at South Tangerang Metro Police on Friday (1/3/2024).
"E is 18 years and 3 months old, R is 18 years and 3 months old, J is 18 years and 11 months old, and G is 19 years old," added AKP Alvino Cahyadi.
Among the four mentioned suspects, Vincent Rompies' eldest son is not included. However, the 17-year-old boy is not exempt from legal entanglement, as apart from that status, seven other children have their status upgraded from witnesses to children in conflict with the law (ABH).
"Eight other children have been designated as Children in Conflict with the Law (ABH). They are suspected of committing Crimes of Violence Against Minors and/or Assault," said AKP Alvino Cahyadi.
"As referred to in Article 76C Jo Article 80 of the Indonesian Law Number 35 of 2014, the second amendment to the Indonesian Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and/or Article 170 of the Penal Code," added AKP Alvino Cahyadi.
As for the remaining person, they are suspected of committing crimes of violence against minors or crimes against the morals of the child victim.
"One witness child is suspected of committing crimes of violence against minors and/or crimes against the morals of the child victim and/or assault as referred to in Article 76C Jo Article 80 of the Indonesian Law Number 35 of 2014, the second amendment to the Indonesian Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and/or Article 4 paragraph (2) letter d Jo Article 5 of the Indonesian Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Sexual Violence Crimes and/or Article 170 of the Penal Code," he concluded.
