Vincent Rompies Finally Reveals the Reason He and Desta Left Club Eighties, There Was a Conflict!

Vincent Rompies and Desta are now better known as presenters and actors. Speaking of Vincent, for the first time, he finally agreed to be interviewed about his supposedly uninteresting life story.

This first interview with Vincent was conducted with Soleh Solihun. In the video that lasted for more than two hours, Vincent honestly answered all the questions asked by Soleh.

1. Reasons to Quit

Before becoming a funny presenter, Vincent used to be a bassist in Club Eighties. Vincent participated in up to five albums. But now he and his friend, Desta, have both left the band that made their name.

Apparently, before officially leaving, Vincent had previously expressed his desire to quit because he felt that the musical style of Club Eighties no longer suited him. However, at that time he only told the manager and was forbidden.

2. There is a Conflict

Two years later, the desire to withdraw finally emerged again during the launch of Club Eighties' fifth album, which was held at Planet Hollywood at that time. After performing, Vincent recounted that there was a dispute or 'prahara' behind the stage.

"There was a fight between my brother (Cliffton Jesse Rompies alias Iyep) and Desta. Something happened, Iyep got angry because of something that I can't say. I'm not involved in this at all, but it became a trigger for me, 'Oh yes, I'm done','" said Vincent. Hearing what Vincent said, Desta had the same thoughts.

3. Club Eighties Always Feels Like Home

At that time, the management asked the personnel to think calmly. They met again a few days later to discuss the problem, but Vincent had already made up his mind to leave Club Eighties. At that time, Vincent felt guilty for leaving his brother in the band. After leaving, Vincent and Desta performed according to the contract. In their final appearance, they apologized to each other and resolved the previous issue.

"Desta and I, as well as the other members of Club Eighties, thought that Club Eighties would always be our home. I left the house, but I will come back someday," Vincent explained.
