Viral Posan Ex Drummer Kotak Angry on Social Media, Reveals Not Receiving Royalties for His Compositions

Posan said, Kotak should have asked for permission from the songwriters before they performed on stage. Most of the songs performed by Kotak were created by Posan. "What I'm talking about is your problem, remember, based on your contract, every concert you hand over to me. How many thousands of concerts have you performed without me? So, how many thousands of performances have you performed without my permission to use my songs?" said Posan.

Most of Kotak's hit songs were created by Posan together with Cella, Pay, and Dewiq. However, when performing these songs on stage, Kotak did not ask for permission from Posan.

"My hit songs, starting from Pelan-pelan Saja, I also helped create them, me, Bang Pay, Dewiq, and you, Cella. Songs like Masih Cinta, Selalu Cinta, Tinggalkan Saja, Cinta Jangan Pergi, even when I was about to leave, I gave you the best gift, and I made a song titled Kerabat Kotak, which you can enjoy as Kotak's concert anthem," he said.

Because of this, Posan feels hurt by the members of Kotak. What makes him even more hurt is that the royalty distribution of Kotak's songs is only divided among three people, namely Cella, Tantri, and Chua.

"I feel hurt, it's normal, there are so many complaints that I have to express, finally it's because you hurt my feelings, from the videos you release, I have to shout like this so that you don't do it again. Do you know that every video you release on other people's YouTube channels hurts my heart? You say it's better for the three of you, it's more comfortable, it's about the money being evenly distributed, but that's not fair," he said.

"Do you know the definition of fair? Everyone gets a share, who is in the box, what are the elements of the box, who are the owners of Kotak, it's me, Ices, Pare, and you, Cella. The four of us are the founders. Not to mention the copyright, who created the songs, you have to consider all of that. Only then you divide it into three and say things like that, if you do that, you hurt my heart," added Posan.

Posan's anger towards the band Kotak has sparked reactions from netizens and members of Kotak. Many are wondering why Posan is only speaking out about royalties now, even though he left Kotak 11 years ago.  

"Yes, that's the reason. I held back for 11 years just to keep the peace with Kotak's members. So I'm hurt. Imagine, netizens attacking me, especially the recent members of Kotak, hey, do you know why I'm like this? Before you like Kotak, you should know who Kotak is, who the personnel are, who the predecessors are, who the songwriters are, you're just a true member of Kotak. Yesterday afternoon, you provoked me, but first, see who you provoked," concluded Posan.
