Viral Post about Icon of PON XX Papua, Olvah Alhamid Denies Responding to Arie Kriting and Dian Sastro's Opinion

Olvah's personal opinion was then associated with the statements of Arie Kriting and Dian Sastrowardoyo. In an interview with KapanLagi.com, he revealed the true facts behind the viral post.

"Honestly, I wrote that post in response to someone's tweet that I can't mention who. Their tweet was very provocative in my opinion, so I thought 'What's wrong with them, why are they making a big deal out of it?'. That's the basis of my viral post. It was my response to that provocateur. I swear to God, I had no idea that some artists also posted about this," Olvah said when met in Bintaro, South Jakarta, on Saturday (5/6/2021).

1. Difficult to Open Instagram

Because her post went viral, Olvah Alhamid admitted to feeling a little panicked because her Instagram couldn't be opened. Not because it was hacked, but because of the numerous notifications that came in. After checking, she realized that netizens had tagged her name in the comment section of Arie Kriting and Dian Sastrowardoyo's Instagram accounts.

"When I woke up in the morning, my phone was hanging, and I couldn't open Instagram. I thought my Instagram was hacked, but it turned out that it was because of the blow-up, with people tagging me in the comments on Arie Kriting and Dian Sastro's posts," explained the woman who was crowned Miss Intellectual Indonesia at the Miss Indonesia 2015 pageant.

2. Boosting Papua's Economy

Furthermore, Olvah Alhamid explained why she strongly supports Nagita Slavina as the icon of the 20th National Games of Indonesia in Papua. Based on facts, only 40 percent of people are aware that this event will be held in Papua.

"When I met with the National Games committee in Jakarta, they told me that many people are not aware that the National Games will take place in Papua. I was surprised, 'Really?'. Finally, they told me the percentage. Only 40 percent of people know that the National Games will be held in Papua. With Raffi and Nagita posting about it, more people will know," she added.

"This is a good thing. With people coming to Papua, it is expected to boost the local economy. There are many people selling Papua bags, culinary delights, accessories, and more. Automatically, people will be more interested in trying the food and buying the bags. Even if they don't buy them for daily use, they will be purchased as souvenirs," Olvah concluded.
