Champion of the West Papua Puteri Indonesia Contest 2015 Supports Nagita Slavina as the Icon of PON XX Papua

Recently, Olvah Alhamid also gave his opinion about the statement of Arie Kriting and several other artists regarding the appointment of Nagita Slavina as the Icon of PON XX Papua. He uploaded his opinion through his personal Instagram.

1. No Need to Be Overly Concerned

Olvah believes that until now, there are no native Papuans who have as many followers as Raffi and Nagita. He also opines that more people only recently became aware of the upcoming PON XX event in Papua because of Raffi and Nagita.

According to him, the more people know that PON XX will be held in Papua, the more it will help the economy and tourism in the region. He concludes his opinion by stating that this issue does not need to be overly concerned about and expresses gratitude to Boaz Solossa, who serves as the ambassador for PON XX Papua.

Through the caption of his Instagram post, he also expressed his opinion that anyone who has an Indonesian Identification Card (KTP) has the right to be part of this National event.

Olvah's post received a lot of support from netizens. Some netizens agreed with Olvah's opinion and admitted that they only found out about PON XX Papua from Nagita Slavina.

"But honestly, I just found out about PON in Papua from RANS," wrote one netizen.

Another netizen also said that the main point of the government appointing Raffi and Nagita is how influential someone is in attracting people's attention to PON XX Papua, which geographically is located in the eastern part of Indonesia.
