Viral Rp 40 Million Shopping Money, Ruben Onsu Says Sarwendah Prefers Buying Vegetables Rather Than Shopping for Branded Items

Kapanlagi.com - Recently, there has been a viral statement from Ruben Onsu who gave Rp 40 million shopping money to his wife, Sarwendah, only for kitchen needs. Ruben Onsu mentioned this in a vlog owned by Luna Maya some time ago.

"Here's the thing, my wife shops within a month. She buys vegetables every three days, not more. There are vegetables that wilt easily and last long, the ones that wilt easily are cooked immediately. So instead of transferring money all the time, it's better to just send it all at once for a month. Because there are many people working at home," explained Ruben Onsu when met in Lebak Bulus area, South Jakarta, on Monday (1/11).

Ruben also explained that Sarwendah likes to cook and shop for her kitchen needs herself. Even if she has already shopped at the market, Sarwendah tends to forget herself.

"If she goes to the market and doesn't get pulled back, she won't come back. Want to go to the supermarket or the traditional kitchen-scented market. If at the market, he has his own regular place and his own imagination," he said.

"Even when shopping at the supermarket, sometimes he compares. For example, if it's two thousand rupiah difference between the supermarket and the market, he would say, 'if it's ten times two thousand, it's a big difference'. Because he knows the price at the market. If it's not available at the market, then he buys it at the supermarket," he continued.

1. Sarwendah Doesn't Like Shopping

Unlike other women who generally like shopping, according to Ruben Onsu, his wife prefers to shop for vegetables and the food she likes. In fact, he has already given her an unlimited credit card for Sarwendah.

"When it comes to shopping, if I don't tell her to buy bags and clothes, she won't buy them. That's all she uses. (Give her a credit card) in case something happens to her or I need to go to the hospital. Yes, there is insurance, sometimes at night she holds it. She likes old snacks, Japanese and Korean snacks. More towards staple foods," explained Ruben Onsu.

In Ruben Onsu's eyes, his wife is a homely woman who is sometimes difficult to invite for shooting. Besides that, another thing that amazes him about Sarwendah is her good listening skills and ability to empathize.

"She is very homely. It's difficult for her to appear in the media, if it's not discussed well in advance, she won't want to (shoot). I admire her for never getting tired of listening to my stories, even when they are sad. She always becomes a good listener, someone who can empathize, understanding, and knows the right amount," he concluded.
