Virgoun Ready to Mediate with Inara Rusli for the Sake of Their Child

The singer Virgoun finally answered the call from the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA) to provide clarification regarding the report submitted by his ex-wife, Inara Rusli, on Tuesday (10/2/2026). Accompanied by his legal team, Virgoun underwent an examination process for several hours to answer a number of questions from the commission.

The presence of the Last Child vocalist demonstrates good faith in resolving the child custody issues that have recently become public consumption. In a post-examination interview session, Virgoun's legal team explained that their presence aimed to verify the circulating news. Virgoun's side was cooperative in answering all points raised by the complainant.

"Thank you friends. Today we, as the legal team for Mas Virgoun, have fulfilled the invitation and have conducted verification regarding the news that has been circulating. We have already been asked one by one about what has been conveyed by the reporting party," said Sandy Arifin at the Komnas PA office, East Jakarta, Tuesday (10/2/2026).

The Virgoun party also emphasized their readiness to pursue the mediation route offered by Komnas PA. This mediation is expected to be a platform for healthy communication between Virgoun and Inara Rusli. The legal representatives stated that the meeting will be scheduled soon involving the extended family to reach the best agreement.

"It was also asked to our client that if there is mediation to be conducted by Komnas together with the family, God willing, we will be present. So our good intentions are so that the news that has not been true can be clarified further with Komnas in the near future," said Sandy Arifin.

Virgoun's other lawyer, Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno, added that the Commission for Child Protection (Komnas PA) works purely for the interests of the child, not to defend the ego of one party. There are about seven to eight questions that have been thoroughly answered by Virgoun during the clarification process in that office.

"And the task of the Commission is solely for the needs or interests of the child in the future. The goal is just that. There is no problem with the other party or issues with Virgoun. There are no issues of whose interests or whose ego, that does not exist. So the Commission aims for the interests of the child in the future," explained Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno.

Virgoun himself admits that he still has many shortcomings as a parent. However, he welcomes the involvement of the Commission for Child Protection if it can help the mental development and future of his child.

"Yes, actually I am not a perfect person. So if every deficiency is corrected or involves a third party that will help for the future of the children, for me, thank God. I also do not dare to make any statements claiming to represent the best for the children’s world, but let the Komnas be the one to assess," concluded Virgoun.
