Virgoun's Side Believes the Alleged Adultery Case Will End Peacefully

Kapanlagi.com - Virgoun's face looks tired after going through a confrontation session regarding the alleged adultery case reported by Inara Rusli.

Virgoun arrived at the Directorate of General Crime Investigation of the Jakarta Metro Police at around 15:45 WIB and only came out after Maghrib prayer. He refused to talk about the details of the confrontation, as well as his legal counsel.

"Today's agenda is the confrontation, that's the main point. The points discussed with the investigator cannot be revealed here, we can't disclose them because the process is still ongoing," said Sandy Purba, Virgoun's legal counsel after the confrontation examination.

1. Restorative Justice

In that occasion, Sandy Purba emphasized that his client did not commit adultery as accused. "No, it didn't happen, it's not true," he said.

He also believes that the alleged adultery case reported by Inara Rusli will end peacefully. "The direction is towards restorative justice. Because the police regulation states that all legal issues do not have to be resolved through legal means. The priority for resolution is through restorative justice. So, I hope that with restorative justice, everything can be resolved in a familial manner," he said.

2. Cannot Discuss Peace Yet

On the other hand, Arjana Bagaskara as Inara Rusli's legal representative did not comment much on the peace discourse. "I cannot comment much on peace because we will see in the coming weeks whether it will happen or not,"

According to Arjana, if there is a peace discourse, his client as the reporter will wait for a peace offer from Virgoun and Tenri Ajeng Anisa. "It must come from their side for the offer," he said.

As known on May 6, 2023, Inara Rusli reported Tenri Ajeng Anisa and Virgoun for alleged adultery under Article 284 of the Indonesian Penal Code Law Number 1 of 1946.
