Wanting to Give Birth to the Successor of Indonesia's Skilled Musicians, Rian D'Masiv Produces a Teenager from Surabaya

In his search, accidentally, Rian D'Masiv was introduced to a young singer named Weda. Rian described finding something different in the teenager named Wedananda Mahawira Ciptawan.

For Rian, Weda's figure can definitely be an attraction for music enthusiasts. Therefore, Rian created a song titled 'To Die For' as Weda's debut.

"From talking and hearing her sing, I see something unique in her. She has a distinctive voice that I haven't encountered in other singers," said Rian during a virtual press conference, not long ago.

The song 'To Die For' was specifically written for Weda. The lyrics were adjusted to her age," he added.

1. Optimistic Experience Can Be Beneficial

In producing Weda, Rian D'Masiv was inspired by Usher's story of discovering Justin Bieber and successfully making him a big singer. Rian is optimistic that his experience in the music world can be beneficial for Weda.

"I feel like Usher when he found Justin Bieber. I believe Weda can become big," he said.

In addition, Rian D'Masiv also involved Rayen Pono as a vocal arranger. Rian hopes that Rayen can polish Weda's vocals to be more perfect.

"I feel that Mas Rayen really knows my vocal character and he can push my singing abilities by teaching various vocal techniques that I previously didn't understand too much," said Weda in the same occasion.

2. Motivation as a Producer

In addition, Rian D'Masiv revealed his motivation to enter the industry as a producer. One of them is for the regeneration process, so that the Indonesian music industry continues to have new talents of quality.

"At the age of 10 years in a career, maybe still thinking about my own band, but above that, we have to think about regeneration. We must not only think about ourselves, the chain must not be broken. There needs to be regeneration so that what we watch is not always the same. Hopefully, it can become a new color in the Indonesian music world," concluded Rian D'Masiv.
