Wearing Batak Ulos Cloth, Lina Mukherjee Steals Attention at Ethnic & Harmony Fashion Show 4th

Kapanlagi.com - Last Sunday (11/14), the 4th Ethnic & Harmony event was held at Satrio Tower. Different from the previous ones, this time there was a touch of Batak culture, especially ulos cloth that was wrapped in such a way to touch the hearts of the guests. Hetty Sinaga, as the founder of Ethnic and Harmony, successfully transformed this event into a more profound impression.

Mother Mira, as the chairwoman of Warlami Indonesia, emphasized the importance of events like this to bring together Batak art enthusiasts, whether in the form of fashion, weavers, painters, or even traditional Batak musicians. Mother Mirna hopes that the echo of this event will penetrate the walls of Satrio Tower and eventually touch the hearts of the millennial generation who seem to be increasingly distant from their ancestral culture.

This fourth Ethnic & Harmony event once again featured Manurung Songket, a work by Marnaek Manurung. Dozens of his best and beautiful woven ulos collections were exhibited there. Manurung songket uses natural coloring in his works.

The performance of Rumah Gondangta music, nurtured by Hardoni Sitohang, also deserves applause. This Batak musician group is one of the best musicians directly from the Toba region. Batak gondang music is played with a very fitting rhythm while the fashion show takes place.

At the event, Lina Mukherjee appeared as one of the participants in the fashion show. She looked beautiful in a bright orange ulos fabric with a contrasting but harmonious tosca-colored bottom.

Interestingly, this event was not only attended by fashionistas from within the country. There was also a wealthy entrepreneur from Brunei who is none other than Lina's friend.

Meanwhile, Hetty Sinaga believes that Culture is not just a Narrative but more towards real Actions, doing, creating as evidence of our concern for the cultural heritage that we should preserve together. Therefore, Hetty invites all Batak society to continue supporting activities that aim to preserve culture.
