Rianti has undergone multiple tests after feeling signs of pregnancy, but the results were always negative.

But after a long wait, Rianti finally tested positive for pregnancy in their 10th year of marriage. Although extremely happy, Rianti still remembers the difficult journey she had to go through to reach this point.

Rianti then opened up about the chronology of her experience with failed IVF treatments. Despite being known as a couple who are very private about their personal lives.

1. Optimistic In-Vitro Fertilization Program Will Succeed

When undergoing in-vitro fertilization for the first time, Rianti was very excited and optimistic that everything would succeed. The 36-year-old woman even immediately requested twins for her first pregnancy.

"At that time, we were very optimistic. Everything was perfect and so far the process of in-vitro fertilization has been going smoothly. Because sometimes in that stage, it doesn't always go smoothly, sometimes there are eggs that are not good or fertilization doesn't succeed. We feel very grateful because the process went smoothly for both of us. So I am very optimistic. I asked for twins right away because there were 3 embryos. I thought, why not, twins would be cute. So we did it and we believed it would succeed," Rianti confided on her YouTube channel.

2. Negative Result

To find out if the fertilization was successful or not, Rianti had to wait for 2 weeks. At that time, the moment felt very right considering her husband would also be celebrating his birthday. Rianti wanted to give the happy news of her pregnancy as a special gift for her husband.

"There's something called the 2-week wait. After the embryo transfer, we have to wait for 2 weeks and just stay at home, rolling around, watching Netflix, whatever, just waiting. You're not allowed to do anything. For me, it's waiting, uncertainty. Sometimes we become very curious, so we google about pregnancy. It's very difficult not to try a pregnancy test. We should wait, right?" Rianti recalled.

Considering that she wanted to surprise her husband on his birthday, Rianti decided to take a pregnancy test to confirm her pregnancy. But the result shattered her heart into pieces. "But because I wanted to surprise him on his birthday, I took a pregnancy test first to know the result. And yes, it was negative," she continued while crying.

3. Great Disappointment of Rianti Cartwright

Rianti thought that she would get used to seeing negative test pack results, considering that for the previous 8 years she always got similar results. But in reality, she didn't, because at that time she had very high expectations.

"It's like for years when I felt there were signs of pregnancy, I did a test pack and the results were always negative for 8 years. At first, I thought I would get used to facing it, but apparently not. And this time, I had very high hopes. I told everyone about it because I felt very optimistic," she explained.

4. Rianti Down Like Never Before

Rianti felt her heart shattered and sad. She couldn't stop crying because she still hadn't been blessed with a child. For the first time, her husband saw Rianti so down at that moment.

"I will never forget that night. Around 2 am, Rianti woke me up, and then she just slept in my arms, crying. I've never seen Rianti like that before," Cas said.
