Winning Badminton Match in Men's Doubles, Arya Saloka Admits Luck Due to Narrow Score

Kapanlagi.com - Arya Saloka was paired with senior badminton player Candra Wijaya in a super exhibition match in the men's doubles category at the Indonesian Celebrity Sports Tournament (TOSI) season two. Arya competed against the pair of Ricky Subagja and Youtuber Jerome Polin.

The match, which was quite intense in three sets, was won by Arya and Candra. The soap opera actor said that their victory was purely luck due to the very narrow score.

"It was a tough match because they are all skilled players. It wasn't easy, we were evenly matched. In the end, it was just luck because the difference was very small," said Arya, interviewed in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Saturday (3/2/2024).

1. Already Used to Sparring

Badminton legend Ricky Subagja admitted that he only met Jerome Polin in this match. Meanwhile, Arya Saloka has known Candra Wijaya for a long time, even often sparring during training.

"Arya and I often play together, so it's already normal," said Candra Wijaya on the same occasion. "We've been sparring since 2002," added Arya Saloka.

2. In an Unfit Condition

Arya Saloka admitted that he is currently in an unfit condition when competing in the men's doubles match at the Indonesian Celebrity Sports Tournament (TOSI) season two. Not only him, because Jerome Polin also played badminton for the first time after his knee surgery.

"Jerome had a surgery scar, I am also currently sick," said the man whose name soared after joining the soap opera Ikatan Cinta.
