The second season of the Indonesian Celebrity Sports Tournament (TOSI) presents a super exhibition match for men's doubles badminton. Senior badminton player Candra Wijaya is paired with actor Arya Saloka against Ricky Subagja paired with Youtuber Jerome Polin.
The match held at GOR Universitas Negeri Jakarta on Saturday (3/2/2024) was very tight in three sets.
After a flood of effort and sweat, the victory was obtained by the pair Candra Wijaya and Arya Saloka.
Although defeated, Jerome Polin admitted that he was happy to be involved in this super exhibition match for men's doubles badminton.
In addition to the fact that this match was held after his knee surgery due to injury, he was also paired with one of the Indonesian badminton legends.
"I was invited by TOSI coincidentally just this week. Coincidentally, I haven't played since the surgery. That's why I trained for two days until this morning and met with a legend, I'm really proud," said Jerome after the match in Rawamangun, East Jakarta, on Saturday (3/2/2024).
Unlike Candra Wijaya and Arya Saloka, who have often practiced before, Jerome Polin just met and met Ricky Subagja at this event.
When Jerome panicked before the match, Ricky calmed him down."My partner and I just met here but he's amazing," said Ricky.
"Apparently chemistry can happen on the field. I never expected it to be like this. Ricky said 'Just do your best and I'll cover'. I'm so happy," Jerome concluded.
