A formation with two members of a music group that debuted in 2012 with the initial members of Angela Lorenza and Devay, the personnel have changed from the original members.
Before joining the music group Duo Anggrek, Devay was a member of the music group Duo Racun and Putri was from the group 2unyu2.
Debut in 2012, Duo Anggrek began to gain popularity in 2013. Their singles are often used as catchphrases in several soap operas because their lyrics resemble rhymes.
Duo Anggrek became known among netizens thanks to the unique and catchy lyrics of their song Cikini Gondangdia. The music video of their viral single Goyang Nasi Padang has now (17/3) reached 134 million viewers, KLovers.
Their song successfully made it to the nomination list of the Indonesia Dangdut Awards (IDA) 2015. This dangdut music group is known for their signature dance move called "Dada Mentok".
After a long hiatus since 2020, Duo Anggrek has finally released a new single titled 'Buka Lapak' in January 2023. Despite not releasing any singles during the hiatus, the dangdut group remained active by performing on stage.
The single was created by Hendy Irvan, which was actually started during the pandemic by Duo Anggrek. Seeing the situation and conditions at that time, the dangdut music group had just recently done the vocal take.
Like other Duo Anggrek singles that have their own uniqueness in each song, this song tells the story of an unfaithful couple using the unique word 'lapak', which means having another 'stall' outside.
The music video for their latest single titled Buka Lapak has now reached 54 thousand viewers since its release in January. On March 15th, Duo Anggrek also appeared to enliven the stage of Pestaria Indosiar by singing their hit single.
