When interviewed recently, Happy Asmara revealed that she gained many lessons and experiences after returning from the umrah pilgrimage, especially in living her life.
"Happy feels more peaceful and relaxed in facing anything after returning from Umrah," said Happy Asmara.
Happy feels grateful because now she feels happier than before. Before performing Umrah, the former girlfriend of Denny Caknan admitted that she often felt anxious and had many thoughts.
"Because previously, Happy used to overthink a lot, had many thoughts. Alhamdulillah, after returning from Umrah, Happy becomes happier, able to live life, and closer to Allah SWT. There are so many lessons and changes that Happy feels after returning from Umrah," she said.
This 24-year-old dangdut singer also revealed that before performing umrah, she often felt uncomfortable due to the pressure from netizens who always commented on various things, including her appearance.
"Everyone knows, because, well, it's always viral that Happy Asmara is always associated with being left behind after marriage, I don't understand why. Maybe it's also because of the shock, the stress from the netizens, never being attacked by netizens to that extent, even discriminated physically or based on Indonesian beauty standards like that," said Happy Asmara.
"So, I started feeling inadequate in many ways, what are the things that I lack, always lacking lacking lacking. So, I feel embarrassed to go out, we panic and feel uncomfortable," added Happy Asmara.
However, after feeling the call from Allah to perform umrah, Happy admitted to experiencing a change in her mind and feelings.
"So more devout, we become more accepting. We become more grateful that humans are not perfect. Humans definitely have good and bad sides," she said.
"We become more, well, calm, we become more able to think broadly. Like that, we become more grateful for who we are," she concluded.
