2019 Called One of the Hardest Years, Lesti Kejora Reveals the Reason

Kapanlagi.com - First appearing as a contestant on the D'Academy event, the popularity of Lesti Kejora continues to increase until now. Moreover, now the beautiful Sundanese singer has been appointed as one of the judges of Liga Dangdut Indonesia (LIDA) 2020.

Lesti admitted that she never expected her life to change like it is now. When she was still a contestant on D'Academy, she never even thought about becoming the first champion.

"I never expected it at all. Because when I joined the competition, I thought, 'Well, let's just look for experience first.' I never thought that I would win. When I finally won, maybe it was just a win for me, there won't be anything else," said Lesti as quoted from Adiez Gilang's YouTube account, Tuesday (18/2).

1. Never Expected to Become Famous

Never expected to live life as a famous artist, but in reality, Lesti received an extraordinary gift from the Creator. Her abilities were further honed when she participated in several shows on Indosiar.

"Turns out God gives blessings, gives gifts, and then Indosiar provides a platform for this potential to be continuously honed, explored. In the end, in 2016, there was Dangdut Academy Asia, joined the competition again and never thought of being consistent because there were many new talents with better potential," explained the 21-year-old woman.

2. 2019 Becomes a Difficult Year

Although her career always seems to shine, Lesti actually experienced difficult times. She revealed that last year, 2019, was a tough period. "At what time, there were many. (The most difficult) was 2019," she said.

One reason she mentioned was that she couldn't participate in the D'Star competition. The lack of approval from her family was a consideration for Lesti. "One of the reasons is that at that time there was another competition but I didn't participate. I really didn't participate and there was no approval from my family," Lesti said to Gilang Dirga.

"The reason might be that my family cares more about me and doesn't want to see me compete again," she added.
