7 Photos of Ayu Ting Ting Mentioning She Doesn't Want to Be a Comedian Outside Her Supportive Circle of Friends

Although she often appears in comedy genre television programs, Ayu Ting Ting emphasizes that she is not interested in accepting jobs as a comedian outside of the filming world.

"No, I don’t dare to do it outside; singing is enough," said the mother of one during an encounter on Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, Tuesday (3/18/2025).

The 32-year-old woman explained that performing as a comedian outside of a supportive environment is not an easy task for her. Support from her colleagues on set is one of the reasons Ayu feels comfortable in the comedy projects she works on.

"No. I don't want to, because if that's the case, it comes with its own burden since I'm just not ready to be released like that without the support of the friends around who usually shoot together," Ayu explained.

Appearing more often in comedy programs makes some fans sometimes forget that Ayu is a singer. However, Ayu admits she is not disturbed by this. "Sometimes there are comments like, oh, she turns out to be a singer now, I thought she was a comedian. Sometimes there are comments like that," she said.

Even so, Ayu still feels happy because she has the opportunity to learn something new through the experience of performing comedy with senior comedians.

When asked how to stay funny in front of the camera, Ayu admitted that she prefers to perform spontaneously without thinking too much about the script or scenario. "I never set it up because if I think about it, for example, if I already have a script and then I think about it, I want to say this, I want to say that, then I forget the first part. And second, it won’t be funny later," she revealed.

For Ayu, being herself and enjoying the moment on set is the best way to keep the atmosphere enjoyable. With this approach, Ayu feels more comfortable going through her routine in the world of comedy.
