Kemenparekraf Sandiaga Uno has implemented a new policy for the entertainment industry, which is a tax increase. Initially 25%, it has now become 40%-75%, but it is not well-received by many people.
Inul Daratista, who is quite outspoken, expressed her criticism on her personal social media. Bunda Inul shared her grievances.
From Inul's venting, this tax increase will have a negative impact on her business. In her recent Twitter post, Inul explained that the tax is too high and can kill her business.
"Entertainment tax increased from 25% to 40-75%, making it difficult for us to invite customers!!!" wrote Inul on her Twitter account.
Bunda Inul also showed the condition of one of her karaoke places recently. It looked very empty, even though it was a weekend.
Inul also wrote in her post that if the tax is increased, she will fire 5000 employees.
"If it really happens, I will finish with 5000 employees + other karaoke business owners will lay off en masse," wrote Inul Daratista.
"Intentionally, Mr. Minister Sandiaga wants to kill many people so they can't eat this! Mr. President, Mr. Jokowi, please listen to my scream. I'll wait for good news, but instead the taxes are increased?!" she continued.
