There are 20 main ingredients that need to be prepared to cook this jengkol sambal, KLovers. Among them are jengkol, chili, shallots and garlic, ginger, turmeric, and lemongrass.
Lesti then starts putting the ingredients, starting from onions to oil, into the blender. After it becomes smooth, Lesti also adds a lot of chili to blend again. Perfect for those who like spicy food like Lesti.Â

While cooking, this mother of one child was asked about her favorite food. When asked to choose between jengkol or petai, Lesti confidently answered both! "Both are my favorite foods." said Lesti while humming.
Apparently, the secret to Lesti's beautiful voice is eating jengkol and petai, KLovers. "Both are my favorite foods that make my voice sound good." said Lesti. Although it sounds impossible, Lesti insists that it's not wrong at all! "Why are you laughing? It's true!" said Lesti with a smile.
Now, Lesti has a tip for seasoning. She said that it's better to use a chopper or grind it manually rather than using a blender.
In addition to tips on processing spices, Lesti also suggests that jengkol does not cause odor when defecating or in the mouth, the key is when steaming jengkol. "Use spices or coffee, so it doesn't smell too bad." The spices that Lesti usually uses to steam jengkol are cinnamon.
There is also a way to steam jengkol ala Lesti, KLovers. She suggests that to avoid odor, the method can be repeated several times, starting from boiling to steaming using spices. In addition to cinnamon, you can also use cloves, bay leaves, lemongrass, ginger, and lime leaves.
