Jakarta is the last city in the series of offline auditions for D'Academy 8 (DA 8) at Emtek City Studio, West Jakarta, on Sunday (10/5/2026). Participants crowded the location since morning to realize their dreams of becoming future dangdut stars, following in the footsteps of their predecessors.

The enthusiasm of the participants peaked when Melly Lee, a graduate of LIDA, and Tasya Allesia, a graduate of DA 7, appeared in the midst of the crowd around 09:00 WIB. They came not only to monitor the audition process but also to entertain the participants who had been queuing since dawn.

"How are you, still motivated? Healthy? Keep your spirit up. You must stay motivated. It is indeed hot, so you can feel the struggle," said Melly Lee when met at the Emtek City Studio, West Jakarta, Sunday (10/05/2026).

The audition process itself has been open since 07:00 WIB and has been flooded with applicants until the afternoon. The success of the previous D'Academy season, especially DA 7 which produced Gen-Z stars like Tasya, Valen, April, and Mila, is the main reason for the high interest of applicants this year.
