Becoming a Convert, Cita Citata's Boyfriend Experienced Some Challenges During 'Shahada'

Kapanlagi.com - Cita Citata's boyfriend, Roy Geurts, decided to embrace Islam. He officially converted on Sunday (19/4/2020). Cita revealed that there were some challenges during the recitation of the two Shahada statements.

"Yes, alhamdulillah, I have recited the Shahada yesterday, although there were some challenges because of the ongoing pandemic, so not many people were allowed to attend," said Cita when contacted on Monday (20/4/2020).

1. Wanting to Fast

Cita reveals that the recitation of the shahada sentence was indeed scheduled to take place on that day. She also mentioned that Roy had carefully thought about this decision well in advance. According to Cita, her partner really wanted to fast this Ramadan.

"Yes, it was already scheduled and we had planned it well in advance. Because he really wanted to fast this Ramadan. So he wanted to convert before Ramadan," she continued.

2. Planning Before the Pandemic

Cita also revealed that this plan had been thought about well in advance before the corona outbreak. Roy officially converted to Islam at the Department of Religion in South Jakarta.

"That (conversion plan) had been planned long ago, we had already thought about it before this outbreak," she added.
