Celebrating Eid Amid the Corona Pandemic, this Eid Tradition Still Exists in the Faul LIDA Family

Kapanlagi.com - This year's Eid al-Fitr is very different for the Champion of Dangdut Academy Asia, Faul compared to previous years. This is because, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, gathering with relatives and closest friends cannot be done.

When contacted by phone on Wednesday (27/5), Fauzul Abadi, also known as Faul, shared that the Eid traditions in his family still exist despite celebrating the victory day in the midst of the corona pandemic. Eating lontong gayo is a mandatory tradition in his family every Eid.

"Eating lontong gayo. It's like lontong sayur but with noodles, it's a must-have food. Every Eid, it must be there because it's a mandatory food in our family," said Faul LIDA.

"Even though this year's Eid is only celebrated with family at home, lontong gayo must be there, never absent," he continued.

1. Not Accepting Guests

In addition, Faul said that this year's Eid, he did not receive any guests because the surrounding environment of his residence was the same. Everyone went straight home after performing the congregational Eid prayer at the mosque.

"No, I don't accept guests from around here either. Maybe just a simple greeting, but not for meeting and direct contact. After prayer, everyone goes straight home, stays at home. Eat, play with the phone, and sleep, that's all," he said.

"It's not crowded, because we're also afraid. We don't know what the person we want to welcome brings, where they come from, so we avoid it and just stay quiet at home," he concluded.
