Despite Worries about Covid-19, Faul LIDA Still Performs Congregational Eid Prayer at the Mosque

As experienced by Faul LIDA, according to him, all the customs on the day of the celebration become limited, starting from the Eid prayer to visiting relatives become restricted. However, Faul still performed congregational Eid prayer at the mosque.

"So here (Bekasi) it is allowed to perform Eid prayer at the mosque. But of course, it is still with strict health protocols, the rows of prayer are a bit far apart, there is a distance. Then after the prayer, there is no handshake but we go straight home. It's still scary," said Faul when contacted by phone on Wednesday (27/5).

1. Feeling Sad

This LIDA 2019 champion admitted that there is a feeling of sadness that surrounds the celebration of Eid this year. He admitted that all the customs during Eid were hindered.

"It feels sad because there has never been an incident like this before, and because of this we can't go home, everything is hindered. But it's okay, maybe there is a wisdom behind this pandemic. Just go with it, this year's Eid is definitely different," said the 25-year-old young man.

2. Choose to Gather with Family

In addition, this year Faul chose to stay at home with his family. Although they couldn't meet directly, at least the bond with his family in the hometown remained intact.

"Well, the first and second day of Eid, we didn't go anywhere, just stayed at home with family in Bekasi. Of course, we apologized and had a good time with those at home, and we just ate ketupat. Mostly, we video called our family in the village," he concluded.
