Recently, she emphasized that even though she listens to her parents' advice, it does not mean she can be controlled by them.
Ayu explained that she has the freedom to manage her finances, even though her mother, Umi Kalsum, has control over her daily expenses.
"There’s no budget, we just buy whatever we want as it comes. When shopping, my mother never limits me," said Ayu Ting Ting in Obrolan Tiap Waktu Trans7, Sunday (15/12/2024).
Despite the assumption that she might be too influenced by her parents, Ayu emphasizes that she is an individual who knows herself and is capable of making her own decisions.
As long as there's money, 'Child, if you want to buy something, just buy it. This is money, your money. If you really want to buy it, then go ahead and buy it.' Ayu is grateful to have been born as a child who knows herself. So, she understands when her parents talk to her. It doesn't mean she's being controlled by her parents, sometimes people misunderstand," said the 32-year-old dangdut singer.
"What I mean is, (there are always people who say) 'No wonder no man wants her, she's controlled by her parents'," Ayu Ting Ting continued.
