Depe responded to the criticism directed at her through a post on Instagram. She wrote a long caption, which strongly rebuked netizens.

"This is for those who criticize about charity, and those who consider themselves good and righteous ????, later they won't be told about their criticism ????. If you show off your charity, then that is very good. And if you hide it and give it to the poor, then hiding it is better for you. And Allah will erase some of your mistakes; and Allah knows what you do. *(QS. 2 : 271)* Those who spend their wealth in the night and day, secretly and openly, they will receive rewards from their Lord. They have no fear and no sorrow. *(QS. 2 : 274)* Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah, then they do not follow it up with reminders of their generosity and do not hurt the feelings of the recipients, they will receive rewards from their Lord. 2. Sharing 1000 Packs of Rice

Depe received criticism when distributing 1000 packs of rice to the less fortunate. Coinciding with the month of Ramadan, Depe provided rice packages to people affected by Covid-19.

This charity act was recorded and uploaded on the internet, with the hope that it would set a good example for the community. However, Depe ended up receiving floods of criticism, although there were also many who supported her.
