Dangdut with a K-Pop Flavor, Rara LIDA Surprises Music Lovers in the Country with Her Latest Single Titled 'Panggung Gemilang'

The new song titled Panggung Gemilang with a K-Pop packaging makes anyone who sees and listens to it feel unbelievable. In fact, the single that has been prepared for a year also makes the singer herself can't believe in her own song.

"So initially, Rara wanted to make this single since last year, and there were many options for the song. The chosen one is not originally titled Panggung Gemilang, but Sang Penghibur, and the genre is not K-Dut but Rock-dut," said Rara during a live interview with Kapanlagi On Air, on Wednesday night (30/9).

"Well, this song's theme fits Rara's life. Honestly, when I first heard the final result of this song, I cried because it's a great song and totally different," she continued.

1. Change Title

Apparently, initially this Korean-themed single was titled Sang Penghibur. However, for some reason, the title was changed to Panggung Gemilang.

Since its release, Rara's latest song has reached the 16th position in trending on Youtube.

"The title was also changed from Sang Penghibur to Panggung Gemilang, because if it's Sang Penghibur, the connotation is confusing, so it was changed to a title that is more suitable for the meaning of the song. Until now, alhamdulillah, when this song was released, Rara never expected that it would really be my song," said Rara.

2. There Are Cut Lyrics

In addition, there is an interesting fact behind the success of Rara's new single. Apparently, there are some cut lyrics. However, this does not affect the final result of the song.

"That's right, but it's not cut, it's reduced. In the first version, there were two repetitions. Then one part was moved. There is no specific reason, just to make it different," she said.

And for Rara herself, she hopes that through this song, she can develop a strong character to support her career as a dangdut singer.

"Honestly, the intention of this song is to build Rara's characteristics, not for trending or anything, but the important thing is that this song can build Rara's character in dangdut music," she added.
