Dewi Perssik Mocks Diva Who Refuses to Duet with Dangdut Singer

Kapanlagi.com - Dewi Perssik was appointed to be one of the performers at the Extraordinary 25th Anniversary Concert of Indosiar held at JCC Jakarta, Saturday (11/1/) night. On one occasion, DePe was given the opportunity to duet with Rossa to perform an Indian song titled Jai Ho.

In addition to singing, they were also challenged to dance like Indians in their performance. Initially, Rossa admitted to feeling quite stressed before performing. But after being encouraged by DePe, she finally agreed.

"She (Rossa) was a bit stressed, 'Ha? Do I have to be like Dewi Perssik?'. I said this is a challenge for Teh Ocha. As for me, I am used to dancing, but the challenge for me is to memorize the dance and Teh Ocha, besides memorizing the dance, also the song. I encouraged her and I am happy that Teh Ocha is a smart person, quickly memorizing it," said DePe when met at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Jakarta during the 25th anniversary of Indosiar, Saturday (11/1).

1. Sindir Diva Tak Mau Duet dengan Pedangdut

Various praises were given by DePe to Rossa, whom he called a true diva. Furthermore, the creator of the saw dance also indirectly criticized other divas who tend to be selective when invited to duet.

"She (Rossa) is also willing. That's what a diva is. Sometimes there is a diva, I won't mention her name, who doesn't want to duet with a dangdut singer," DePe continued.

"Although don't be mistaken, dangdut singers are the richest. No, no, I mean if a dangdut singer is chosen even in remote areas, it's different from a pop singer who has to find out who is truly the best for them. For us dangdut singers, we are chosen from Sabang to Merauke to Ujung Berung," explained the woman from Jember.

2. Dewi Perssik's Greatest Honor

Being able to duet with Rossa is considered a great honor for DePe. The wife of Angga Wijaya also humbly admits that she is nobody compared to Rossa.

"When Teh Ocha said she wanted to duet with Dewi Perssik, it was an extraordinary honor for someone like me who is nobody. I am just a dangdut singer and both Teh Ocha are willing to follow the given treatment," DePe concluded.
