"We reported it under Article 352, minor assault, the suspect's name is still under investigation," said Dewi Sanca's lawyer, Friedrich Yunadi at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters.
According to Friedrich, the incident involving Dewi Sanca occurred on July 1, 2023. At that time, she was returning from one of the karaoke places in Jakarta.
Dewi Sanca suddenly scolded and pushed until her feet bruised by someone who claimed to be a member.
"Mbak Dewi was scolded with harsh words and pushed until her feet bruised. He claimed to be a member. If not stopped by security, Mbak Dewi might have been beaten up," he said.
Therefore, the 39-year-old woman finally decided to report the man for assault.
Previously, the suspected perpetrator's face and the chronology of the incident had been viralized by Dewi through her TikTok account. In the video, the man claimed to be a law-immune member.
Unfortunately, Dewi Sanca does not know the man who allegedly attacked her. She only has the suspect's phone number.
"I don't know his name. Because I just met him that day. But I have his phone number. I don't know if he used a fake name or not. He claimed to be a member of something. But I don't know what kind of member," she said.
