Via revealed that the perpetrator had come to the police station to seek protection because he was about to be attacked by a mob. Via disclosed this when contacted by the media on Sunday (5/7) last week.

"I thought he was smart. He went to the police station to seek protection because he was almost attacked by a mob. So, because he was smart, he ran to the police station, but the funny thing is that at the police station, he wanted to file a report that he was beaten up by someone at a food stall," said Via.

Via mentioned that the perpetrator wanted to create a scenario of playing the victim. "So, it's like playing the victim, twisting the facts, he wants to find a way to cover up his mistake," Via continued.

2. Provide Different Information

Via still reported the perpetrator to the police. The perpetrator was then examined. During the examination, the perpetrator continued to provide different information.

"Well, when at the police station, he already confessed, but strangely, after confessing, he didn't want to confess anymore, confess, didn't want to confess, like that," explained the singer of the song Meraih Bintang.

3. Pretending to be Crazy

Via and several police officers assessed that the perpetrator behaved like that because he pretended to be crazy. It is clear that a crazy person cannot be punished.

"So, it's like pretending to be crazy, some police officers said he pretended to be crazy, because it feels like if he is considered crazy, he will be exempt from the law," said the woman born on October 1, 1991.

4. Finally Confessed

According to witnesses, the perpetrator was drunk at the time. Despite that, the investigation continued.

"Based on the statements of several witnesses, he was drunk, after drinking together there. Eventually, he admitted that he was the one who set it on fire, so the police asked him where he bought the gasoline and so on," Via concluded.
