Having a Unique Stage Name, Whisya Bolu Marks Her Debut as a Dangdut Singer Through the Single 'Geboy Asoy'

Having a unique stage name, Whisya revealed that the name was taken from her hobby of making cakes.

"The name originated from my love for making cakes that are sold online," said Whisya during the virtual launch, on Tuesday (2/2).

Not only a hobby, it turns out that Whisya also used to be a cake seller. She did this activity because there were no off-air performance calls during this pandemic. She also hopes that the name Whisya Bolu can be easily remembered by the public.

"Whisya hopes that the last name Bolu can be more easily recognized and remembered by the wider public," she continued.

2. Jaipong Dancer

Before making her debut as a dangdut singer, Whisya apparently used to be a jaipong dancer. Her singing talent was then noticed by the executive producer of Karya Kreasi Music, who finally gave Whisya the opportunity to pursue a career as a dangdut singer.

To give a different atmosphere in her music video, the single Geboy Asoy was packaged with a relatively simple concept of jaipong dancing. After its release was delayed due to the pandemic situation, Whisya finally started her new journey in the dangdut music industry through that song.
