Iis Dahlia Admits She Often Scolds Mpok Alpa for Being Too Naive, Considers Her Like Her Own Child

The friendship between Iis Dahlia and Mpok Alpa is apparently deeper than just being work colleagues. Their relationship is so close that it resembles a bond between a mother and child, complete with Iis’s affectionate scolding of Mpok Alpa, whom she considers too naive.

This was revealed by Iis Dahlia while reminiscing about the late Almarhumah. Behind the laughter and jokes, Iis admitted she often scolded Mpok Alpa for her gullible nature.

"It's a loss. Because she was a funny person with her innocence. When we talked just the two of us, I often scolded her," said Iis Dahlia in Mampang, South Jakarta, Monday (18/8/2025).

Billy Syahputra, who was also present during the interview, confirmed Iis's statement. He mentioned that Mpok Alpa indeed considers Iis Dahlia like her own parent. "Because mom (Iis) is already considered as her parent," Billy added.

Iis then explained the reason behind her scolding. She felt annoyed because Mpok Alpa often becomes a victim of her own naivety and only tells her after something bad happens.

"Because she keeps being deceived by people, you know. I said, if you come, tell it before, not after. Because after it happens, it’s too late," Iis said with an annoyed tone.

The senior dangdut singer hopes that Mpok Alpa can be more open and seek advice before making a big decision, especially in business matters.

"If before it was 'Mom, I want to start a business, I want to do this and that'. Sometimes she likes to act like she knows everything," she continued.

Iis suspects that her reluctance to ask for advice at the beginning is why Mpok Alpa rarely does so. Maybe Mpok Alpa feels uncomfortable and worries about bothering her busy friends.

"Maybe she has money and wants to start a business, but I said she should have asked beforehand. Sometimes she thinks we are busy, and doesn’t want to bother us. But in the end, she tells us after everything has happened," she concluded.

During her life, Mpok Alpa was known as a kind, friendly, and loyal friend.
