Ikke Nurjanah's Message in Her Latest Song, Don't Play with Love!

Kapanlagi.com - Dangdut singer Ikke Nurjanah said that her age, which is no longer young, is not a barrier to continue creating. As Ramadan approaches, she proves it by releasing her latest single titled Air Surgawi Berubah Api Neraka.

"Alhamdulillah, I can continue to create amidst the competition of millennial dangdut singers. Hopefully, it can entertain people who are currently affected by the COVID-19 pandemic," said Ikke Nurjanah when contacted via her mobile phone on Monday (13/4).

1. Taking the Theme of Love

According to Ikke Nurjanah, the title of her latest song does give the impression of describing someone's religiosity. However, if we examine the lyrics, the song, composed by B. Makayock, takes on the theme of love. It tells a romantic story that ends in disappointment due to infidelity.

"It starts with a love like heavenly water that was once created, then turns into disappointment and anger like hellfire," said Ikke.

"A simple story about a theme of love that could happen to anyone in our surroundings. The choice of words is not as difficult as one might think, but it resonates with the message in the lyrics. In essence, don't play with love!" she added.

For the music arrangement, it was kept as simple as possible, not far from the traditional dangdut rhythm that emphasizes the sound of flute and drums. It is very comfortable to listen to and enjoy.
