Jakarta Melayu Festival 2023 Presents Erie Suzan and Cici Paramida with the Theme 'Tabea Guru'

Kapanlagi.com - The Jakarta Melayu Festival (JMF) 2023 music concert will be held again. JMF itself is known to have been held for the 11th time, and this year JMF carries the theme 'Tabea Guru' to honor teachers.

Tabea Guru is a tradition carried out by the Tidore community to honor the services of teachers there. From this culture, the JMF organizers have the idea to hold JMF this year with the aim of appreciating all teachers and educators throughout Indonesia.

Erie Suzan, as one of the performers and initiators of JMF 2023, expressed her enthusiasm for being able to join the event for the fourth time. According to her, JMF is not just a music event.

"I am very grateful to have joined JMF for the fourth time. What I love about JMF is that it's not just about singing, but I also learn a lot about Malay culture," said Erie Suzan during a press conference in Cikini, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (20/8).

1. First Appearance, This is Cici Paramida's Hope

In the same occasion, Cici Paramida also expressed her happiness to be able to join JMF 2023 for the first time. She hopes that the event can run well and the social mission of JMF 2023 can be conveyed.

"When I was informed about JMF, I was immediately ready. Because if it's to promote Malay Culture, I'm ready," said Cici Paramida.

"I hope this event can run well and smoothly because there are many missions in this event, not only developing Malay musicians but also social missions to preserve Malay Culture," she continued.

In addition, JMF 2023 will present performances by famous Indonesian musicians, such as Iyeth Bustami, Erie Suzan, Caca Handika, Iis Dahlia, Cici Paramida, Ikke Nurjanah, and Seroja Band. They will invite the audience to reminisce about local hit songs from the 90s era. Popular songs like Terlena by Ikke Nurjanah, Wulan Merindu by Cici Paramida, and others will be performed at JMF 2023.

The Jakarta Melayu Festival 2023 is planned to be held at Beach City International Stadium on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
