Lesti Admits to Being Annoyed with People Who Don't Practice Social Distancing Amid the Corona Pandemic

Kapanlagi.com - The corona pandemic is spreading in Indonesia. Beautiful dangdut singer Lesti admitted to feeling anxious even before the Covid-19 virus entered the country.

"I was really anxious at that time, thinking 'oh what if this corona reaches Indonesia, hopefully our country is protected and it doesn't reach us' but eventually it did. It kept increasing, Masha Allah," said Lesti when contacted by phone on Tuesday (24/3).

"But according to Dede (Lesti's nickname), maybe the reason our body condition can decline is because we think too much, and we panic. Now, even if we just have a little cough or runny nose, we become paranoid and overthink things," she continued.

1. Possibility of Not Going Home

Furthermore, Lesti admitted that there is a possibility of not going back to her hometown if the coronavirus is still not under control.

"If I see the situation, usually there will be a decrease. If there is a decrease or improvement in condition, God willing, I will go home. But if not, maybe I won't go home to the village. It's better for me to stay here because I want to take care of my family," said Lesti.

Lesti herself admitted that she has followed the appeal to reduce activities outside the house. Her family has also done the same.

"Fortunately, my family follows the appeal, my mother and father are disciplined. So, if there is anything, we have to follow it. We also rarely hang out outside because there are many activities inside the house," continued Lesti.

3. Frustrated with Stupid Society

When asked about the stupid society that still goes out unnecessarily, Lesti herself admitted feeling frustrated.

"If it's for the stupid society, it's annoying, I get frustrated seeing it. Especially after reading news about many doctors dying because they were exposed to people infected with this epidemic, it's like please, love yourself and your family, if we're already sick and then infect others, we never know," she explained.

4. Want to Be Able to Take Care of Each Other

Lesti also hopes that Indonesian citizens can take care of each other's safety.

"Please take care of each other first, maybe those people don't care about themselves but they shouldn't harm others. It's annoying, really annoying. Now the government has taken action, even though it's not a lockdown yet, but hopefully this problem can be quickly and properly resolved, and the community also needs to be smart and follow the recommendations to prevent transmission," she concluded.
