Lesti Kejora Not Selected to Collaborate with Famous K-Pop Stars, Here's the Reason from Indosiar

Kapanlagi.com - Six Indonesian dangdut stars who are the graduates of talent search events on Indosiar have been chosen to collaborate with famous K-Pop stars to participate in the latest Variety Reality program titled DANGDUT KPOP 29THER.

The selected young Indonesian dangdut stars for this program are Afan DA, Sridevi DA, Melly Lee, Lady Rara, Selfi Yamma, and Fildan DA. Meanwhile, the selected K-Pop stars are Hui Pentagon, 10 CM, Kim Jaehwan, Hyuk Vixx, DK Ikon, and Bangyedam.

Harsiwi Achmad, the programming director of SCM, revealed the reason for choosing these six dangdut stars to participate in the DANGDUT KPOP 29THER program.

"Firstly, they are the best in Indonesia and clearly champions who have a large fan base in Indonesia," said Harsiwi Achmad at SCTV Tower, Jakarta, on Tuesday (24/10/2023).

In addition, there are other considerations from Indosiar in choosing six dangdut stars to collaborate with the KPop star.

"Not only the best, we also look for those who have available time. Like Dede Lesti, for example, she has a child, so she can't yet," said Harsiwi Achmad.

Meanwhile, for the selection of six K-Pop stars to collaborate with Indonesian dangdut stars, Charli, a representative from Encast Studio, revealed.

"Actually, there are many K-Pop artists, we choose artists who are suitable for Indonesia. So after being given a list, Indosiar chose," he said.

"Charli is right, after we were given the list. We studied one by one which ones are very popular in Indonesia and suitable for duets with graduates of Dangdut Academy and Liga Dangdut," added Harsiwi.

2. Well-Prepared

The DANGDUT KPOP 29THER event is a collaboration between Indosiar and Encast Studio, which houses big names in the K-Pop music industry. Each dangdut star and K-Pop star will present a dangdut song that has been rearranged in the K-Pop style.

"We will launch this event during Indosiar's 29th anniversary. Because the format is very detailed, the preparation is well-prepared. After the launch, this program will be aired weekly for six episodes," said Harsiwi Achmad.
