Lesti Kejora Shares How to Overcome Stage Fright, Can Be Applied by DA8 Contestants!

Although her experience as a dangdut singer has been quite long, Lesti Kejora still feels stage fright. Lesti admits that she still often feels insecure.

"There is definitely. One of them is when I don't memorize the song, and then I don't do a rehearsal, there are usually moments when I feel insecure. (Stage fright) exists, often actually," said Lesti Kejora as quoted from the POLES program (Kepoin Lesti).

1. Keep Learning

Of course, Lesti does not just stay silent when she feels stage fright. She tries to eliminate that lack of confidence by continuously learning about the songs and instilling the belief that the stage is her 'own' when performing.

"Usually, I keep learning, studying the song, and just be confident. Because this stage belongs to me when I sing, so I have to be able to do it," she said.

2. Don't Let the Audience See It

Even though she experiences stage fright, Lesti mentioned that she tries her best not to let it show to the audience or the judges. A singer must deliver their best for the audience.

"No matter what, it shouldn't be visible to others (if feeling less confident). When on stage, just be spontaneous, there’s always a way. Whatever it is," added Lesti Kejora.
