Ligea LIDA Releases Debut Single 'Ojo Dumeh', Answers the Challenge of Singing Javanese Songs

Kapanlagi.com - One of the graduates of the Indonesian Dangdut League (LIDA) 2021, Ligea, seems to be more serious in pursuing her career as a dangdut singer. This is marked by the release of her debut single titled Ojo Dumeh which was recently released.

Under the music label Nagaswara, this 17-year-old girl expressed her gratitude for finally having her own work. Not only that, Ligea also admitted that she really likes her first single which tells the complicated love story of a young couple.

"Alhamdulillah, I can release a single after 3 years since graduating from LIDA," said Ligea to KapanLagi.com, Central Jakarta, Friday (9/2).

"What's certain is that this song is cool and unique, where the story is about love, you know Ojo Dumeh means don't act like you're in love but keep hurting the other person, forgiven but the partner doesn't change," she continued.

1. Unique Challenge

Ligea also does not deny that singing the song Ojo Dumeh presents its own challenges for her. However, Ligea does not find it difficult because she is familiar with Javanese songs.

"It's definitely a challenge, but luckily I like Javanese songs, so I don't find it difficult because the lyrics are easy. I am also familiar with Javanese songs," she said.

2. Personal Experience?

In addition, Ligea admits that the story in the song Ojo Dumeh has similarities with her own love story.

"Yes, that's true. I have also been cheated on in the past, but I didn't take it to heart," she said.
