Waking up for sahur by patrolling around the village is still a tradition in several regions, including the area where Ayu Ting Ting lives.
Usually, villagers play music from makeshift instruments or have mass karaoke with equipment such as a sound system on a dangdut cart that goes around the village.
The goal is to wake up and immediately have sahur for the residents in the houses that are visited.
Instead of feeling disturbed, Ayu Ting Ting actually joined in with the residents. "Our artist woke us up for sahur," reads the caption of the TikTok post by @minoridewi that shows a video of Ayu Ting Ting's actions.
"Ayu Ting Ting is really low profile, not arrogant at all. It's rare to find celebrities like her," wrote one netizen in the comments section of the TikTok post.
The video showing Ayu Ting Ting's actions was also reposted by a gossip account on Instagram. In the comments section, many netizens praised the singer of "Alamat Palsu".
"Wow, she's really amazing. Even regular office workers don't necessarily think to participate like that. Ayu Ting Ting still manages to mingle with the community," wrote a netizen.
