The offline auditions for the Dangdut Academy 8 event arrived in Surabaya on Saturday (9/5), specifically at UPN Veteran Surabaya. For this edition, the presence of Mila Nurwanti, a participant from DA7, was notable.
Mila, as she is affectionately called, arrived around 10:00 AM WIB with Fildan, who was appointed as a judge. Their presence immediately caused a stir among the audition participants who were waiting in line. They both went over to greet the participants.
To provide a boost for the participants, Mila and Fildan performed several songs live. Hit songs like Pecah Seribu, Rungkad, and Bang Toyib were presented with an extraordinary duet concept. The combination of their golden voices felt like a cool breeze amidst the hot weather of Surabaya.
Outside the venue, several people were seen wearing dark blue shirts that read 'Milen Official'. Upon investigation, they are the official fanbase of the couple Mila and Valen DA7 who went viral some time ago.
This Milen fanbase came for a special mission. They wanted to celebrate Mila's birthday, which falls the next day, Sunday (10/5). According to KapanLagi's investigation, these fanbase members came from different cities, such as Sidoarjo, Kediri, and other regions in East Java. Each brought different gifts for their idol.
Interestingly, the Millen Official members willingly came from afar amidst their busy schedules without any coercion or reward. They just wanted to meet their idol and celebrate her birthday together.
Mila also took the time to meet her loyal fans. They then celebrated that special moment together. Mandatory rituals such as singing the 'Happy Birthday' song, a group prayer, and blowing out the candles were done so intimately. There were no boundaries between Mila and her fans.
Before parting ways, Mila also accommodated her fans' requests for group photos. So strong was Mila's aura that a number of locals nearby also came closer to greet and capture moments with Mila.
Met by KapanLagi.com, Mila admitted she was very surprised because her loyal fans were willing to come and give a birthday surprise. Although it was a day early, she still appreciated their effort. She also expressed her wishes at this age of 16 years old.
"Really surprised! The cake is in the shape of an avocado, my favorite. Thank you. I hope I become more mature and definitely wish success for my career," Mila told KapanLagi.com.
