Mini Musical with D'Academy Alumni Becomes the Theme of D'Academy 6 Top 4 Show

Kapanlagi.com - D'Academy 6 is still ongoing, with many challenges for the participants in every performance, making them always strive to deliver the best. The same goes for Group 2 in the Top 6, who performed a duet with D'Academy alumni on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Novia (Serang) and Madhani (Serdang Bedagai) have finally secured their spots in the Top 4 round, following Owan (Boalemo) and Sahril (Buton) from Group 1.

Meanwhile, Eca (Makassar) had to stop her journey in D'Academy 6 Top 6. Last night (02/14), the D'Academy 6 competition continued to the Top 4 Show, featuring the four best academicians chosen by the viewers, namely Madhani (Serdang Bedagai), Novia (Serang), Owan (Boalemo), and Sahril (Buton).

In this Top 4 Show, each academician is challenged to perform singing and acting, as well as delivering a stunning stage performance in the Mini Musical.

1. Novia Appears with Indy Gunawan

Novia (Serang) appeared opening the Top 4 Show by acting alongside Indy Gunawan and Kier King, and singing a song titled Cinta Bilang Cinta. Novia's acting and melodious voice apparently succeeded in captivating the entire jury panel and received a standing ovation.

Lesti Kejora, who was sitting on the jury panel, expressed that she was annoyed with the role played by Novia, because Novia was not sensitive to the love offered by Gunawan and instead remained loyal to her boyfriend (played by Kier King), who often left her.

“Bunda agrees with Lesti, Novia's acting was very good to the point that Bunda was carried away and ended up crying. In terms of vocals, only in the coda when you hit the high notes, it was a bit off according to Bunda, but other than that, it was extraordinary,” added Hetty Koes Endang.

2. Enchanting Performance Impresses the Judges

The second performer, Madhani (Serdang Bedagai), also successfully captivated the judges with her Mini Musical titled 'Cemburu Buta' (Blind Jealousy) alongside Reza Zakarya and Ryaas Randa.

“In my opinion, your performance was truly entertaining. I laughed continuously from the beginning until the end of the musical. Madhani's acting was also extraordinary, I didn't expect that you could speak the Batak dialect so well,” praised Denada.

3. Lesti's In-Laws Support Madhani

Lesti Kejora also added that Lesti's in-laws are giving their support and greetings to Madhani in hopes that she will become the champion of D'Academy 6.

“Your voice is also extraordinary, just send in many text messages. You will definitely become the champion,” she concluded.

4. Sahril Receives Two Standing Ovations

Unlike the previous two performances, Sahril (Buton) only managed to receive two standing ovations from the jury when performing the Mini Musical with Lady Rara and Hari Putra with the theme of Love Soap.

“Actually, I had planned to always stand for you in the top four as long as there are no mistakes. But, Sahril, in your performance earlier, there were a few mistakes, wrong lyrics at the beginning and two wrong entrances. That's why I didn't give a standing ovation. Hopefully, if you still make it through, these mistakes won't happen again,” said Soimah.

5. Owan's Performance Closes Top 4 Show

Despite receiving criticism and feedback from Soimah and Hetty Koes Endang, who also did not give a standing ovation, Lesti and Denada still appreciate Sahril's performance and acting in the Mini Musical earlier. Owan (Boalemo) successfully closed the Top 4 Show by performing the Mini Musical Prince of Dangdut with Ridwan Naibaho and Aulia.

“Ridwan and Aulia played important roles in Owan's musical drama scene. Although Owan appeared panicked in his acting, due to Ridwan's improvisation, your singing was still good. For acting, you still need to learn more because it still looks stiff,” said Soimah.

6. Owan Praised by Denada

Denada also added that Owan's shortcomings displayed during acting actually made him look funny and entertaining.

“Owan is just one step away, Mom is sure you can become a star if you seriously accept input from the judges,” Hetty Koes Endang's message.

7. Temporary Polling

At the end of the event, the hosts, namely Ramzi, Gilang Dirga, Ruben Onsu, Jirayut, Lady Rara, Kier King, and Aldi Taher announced the temporary polling results from the four academies. Owan (Boalemo) ranked first in the temporary polling results with 27.93%. Meanwhile, Sahril (Buton) ranked last in the temporary polling results.

The polling results will be determined tonight in the Top 4 Result round. The four academies will once again present their best performances by duetting with Indonesian dangdut legends, Elvy Sukaesih and Yunita Ababil.
