Nassar's Comeback as a Judge, Prepares Prizes for Talented D'Academy 8 Participants

Kapanlagi.com - Nassar's return to the judging seat of D'Academy 8 is one of the surprises of the latest season of the Indosiar dangdut talent search competition. After being absent for two seasons, the singer of Seperti Mati Lampu has finally rejoined Soimah, Lesti Kejora, Dewi Perssik, and Wika Salim to find the future dangdut stars.

Nassar's presence was announced at the D'Academy 8 press conference at SCTV Tower, Jakarta, on Monday (29/6/2026). The king of dangdut, nicknamed King Nassar, admitted that he is actually not a new figure in the D'Academy family, but just took a break from the program.

According to Nassar, D'Academy has a very important meaning in his life journey. He even mentioned that the program reflects his career journey of more than two decades in the dangdut music industry.

"Actually, I'm not a new person. Just a 2-year hiatus. If the younger sibling is pregnant. But DA is indeed extraordinary. I always say at every press conference, the child of Mother Harsiwi, who is noisy, cheerful, and always liked by many people," said Nassar.

The singer whose full name is Nassar Fahad Ahmad Sungkar also expressed his respect for the Director of EMTEK Media, Harsiwi Achmad. According to him, Harsiwi plays a significant role in bringing forth various successful entertainment programs, including D'Academy.

"For me, DA is a reflection of my 22 years back. Because at that time I couldn't do anything, until I could do something thanks to her. So, Mrs. Siwi's hands are cold. If she makes a program, it will definitely succeed. So DA will never die, there will always be Mrs. Harsiwi, and she will always be there and thrive," he stated.

In addition to returning with a character already known to the audience, Nassar ensures that he will still bring his own color to D'Academy 8. Although he no longer appears with a style that is too eccentric like in previous seasons, he promises to continue providing entertaining entertainment.

Nassar is also preparing surprises for the contestants. He admitted that he will personally give gifts to the contestants who can show the best vocal quality during the competition.

"Since DA2 I joined the Gunarso family. From the beginning, I did abnormal things, but that's Nassar. Over time, I changed my appearance to be different, and packaged it more attractively. Who helped? Mae Soimah. So the appearance of DA8 will be Nassar as he is known. Maybe the weird makeup days are over, but it's more like a normal Nassar. But I will have gifts for each contestant with a good voice. Useful gifts, and if there's money," he said.

D'Academy 8 will enter the Final Audition phase from June 29 to July 10, 2026. This event will once again present dozens of the best participants selected from over 9,500 registrants throughout Indonesia.

With Nassar's return, D'Academy 8 is expected to bring a new color while maintaining the characteristics that have made this program one of the most popular dangdut competitions among the public.
