D'Academy 8 Officially Begins, INDOSIAR Prepares Many New Breakthroughs

The talent search program for dangdut, D'Academy, is back. Entering its eighth season, INDOSIAR officially begins the journey of D'Academy 8, which promises to be grander with a series of updates. This season not only presents a spectacular stage but also involves the champions of D'Academy 7 to guide participants who have advanced to the main round.

The success of D'Academy 7 serves as a significant asset for INDOSIAR to present a more competitive dangdut competition. The program previously achieved the highest audience share and became the number one talent search program in Indonesia. Many of its alumni have now made their mark as singers, hosts, brand ambassadors, and FTV actors.

The journey of D'Academy 8 has begun with the Audition round that aired from June 22-26, 2026. Next, the selected participants will compete in the Final Audition, which will be broadcast live from June 29 to July 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM WIB.

The peak introduction of the participants will take place during the D'Academy 8 Welcome Concert, which is scheduled to be broadcast live on July 13, 2026, at 7:00 PM WIB. This moment marks the initial step for the academicians towards the main competition that will last for 95 episodes.

The Director of EMTEK Media, Harsiwi Achmad, stated that the latest season of D'Academy will present many innovations to maintain viewer enthusiasm while strengthening the program's position.

"The D'Academy 8 competition will be even more phenomenal because various new elements will also be present in D'Academy 8 to maintain viewer loyalty and strengthen audience share. We also express our gratitude to the sponsors for their support and commitment to the D'Academy 8 program and INDOSIAR in producing the future dangdut stars," said Harsiwi Achmad at a press conference at SCTV Tower, Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (29/6).

Various updates are prepared for this season. Starting from a more magnificent stage setup and lighting, more varied music arrangements, to the performances of participants who will receive a makeover touch from the wardrobe, hair stylist, and fashion stylist team.

In the lineup of judges, King Nassar returns to join Soimah, Dewi Perssik, Lesti Kejora, and Wika Salim. Meanwhile, the Artificial Intelligence character named Cinta is also confirmed to return with various updates claimed to be more interactive.

Not only that, the D'Academy champions from the previous seasons will also play a role as the Coach Team. Tasya DA7, Valen DA7, April DA7, Arbil DA7, Mila DA7, Sridevi DA, Afan DA, Eby DA, and Zahra DA7 will accompany the participants throughout the competition.

The excitement of D'Academy 8 will also be hosted by Ramzi, Gilang Dirga, Rina Nose, Rizky Billar, Jirayut, and Andi Syaqirah DA7, who are the new faces among the hosts. With these various innovations, INDOSIAR is optimistic that D'Academy 8 will once again become the biggest dangdut talent search event in Indonesia.
