"Formerly my first salary singing was Rp 35,000, I forgot whether it was in 2006 or 2005," said Evi Masamba when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Monday (22/4).
"Singing salary from one stage to another, singing until morning, from 7 pm to 3 am and then continue. That was in the past but it was enough for me at that time," she continued.
Now, the struggle of this 32-year-old woman is not in vain. One by one, her dreams come true, such as the new house she bought in the Bekasi area, West Java recently.
However, before deciding to buy a house in the Jabodetabek area, Evi already had a house in her hometown. In the past, she chose to buy a house in her hometown because she thought she wouldn't stay long in Jakarta.
"Actually, I already have a house but it's far away because I thought I wouldn't stay in Jakarta for long. Finally, I focused on buying assets in the village, but it turns out I stayed here for a long time. Actually, I didn't think about buying a house in Jakarta," she said.
In addition, looking at her current achievements, Evi remembers how her situation was before. She failed to buy a house due to economic difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
"What's clear is that in the beginning, I rented a boarding house because if there's fortune, I prefer to rent because from the start, I didn't want to buy a house here. But before Covid, I had checked a house but everything got canceled due to Covid," she concluded.
