This was known from her mother's Instagram account, Umi Kalsum, which showed Ayu sorting through her expensive collection of clothes that had only been worn once and were still in good condition. The price range of the items sold was quite cheap, starting from Rp. 20,000 to Rp. 50,000.

To avoid criticism, Ayu Ting Ting explained from the beginning in the uploaded video that the money from the sales would be donated to an orphanage foundation. Her noble action received various positive comments.
