Pick Up the Ball, Road To Artjog 2024 Comes to Salihara Jakarta

Kapanlagi.com - One of the most anticipated art events of the year, Artjog 2024 will be held again. This year, Artjog will take place for 65 days from June 28th to September 1st, 2024 at the Jogja National Museum (Jogja National Museum/JNM), Yogyakarta.

This time, the theme that is carried is Motif: Prediction. This exhibition also presents a new program called Road to Artjog, which is a pre-exhibition program.

Road to Artjog presents a solo exhibition by artist Zulfian Amrullah titled Kinesthetic Performance, featuring various chair installation works by Zulfian at Salihara, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. The exhibition will take place from April 20th to 30th, 2024.

1. Program with Specific Goals

Artjog CEO, Heri Pemad, said that this program has specific goals. Moreover, they believe that there are still many who do not know what Artjog is.

"Road to Artjog is aimed at reaching out, we want to greet more people. In our opinion, there are still many who do not know or want to be involved but are not close to Artjog. We want to leave the cage and go to Jakarta. To be closer," said Heri Pemad during a press conference at Salihara, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, on Saturday (20/4).

2. There is an Installation Artwork of Chairs

On the same occasion, artist Zulfian Amrullah added that through his installation artwork of chairs, he tried to manipulate the shape of chairs attached to the human body.

"So there are events or scenes that I create from these chairs. For example, people pointing fingers at each other, people in love, or jumping," said Zulfian.

"Trying to reflect what humans usually do," he concluded.
