Selvi Kitty and Rangga Ilham officially divorced after six years of marriage. Selvi stated that their divorce was finalized in early December 2023 at the Tangerang Religious Court.
"The lawsuit was filed in November, if I'm not mistaken, at the end of the month or early on. And the verdict was in December. So, it was a quick process in my opinion," said Selvi Kitty when met in Tendean, South Jakarta, on Friday (1/3/2024).
"The decision was made in December, so it was a very fast process according to me and coincidentally I also did not attend the hearing, where the hearing was called six times," added Selvi Kitty.
This 30-year-old woman admitted that there were no claims for joint property after officially separating from Rangga Ilham. Because, before tying the sacred promise, they made a prenuptial agreement.
"Actually, I have no claims for joint property because before marrying Rangga, there was a prenuptial agreement. It's not about wanting his wealth, it means we have an agreement to also protect what will happen in the future," she said.
From the decision of the Tangerang Religious Court, Selvi obtained custody of the child. Then, her ex-husband is obliged to provide monthly alimony of Rp 10 million.
"First verstek, secondly about the usual maintenance of iddah maintenance, and then one more child every month there is and currently Rangga only covers Abidzar (their child) with a nominal amount of 10 million," said Selvi Kitty.
"But we don't know yet how Abidzar will grow in the future, later we will discuss again the costs or needs of Abdizar, such as beyond Abdizar's school needs," she continued.
Although officially divorced, Selvi Kitty and her ex-husband still maintain good communication.
"I intensively communicate with Rangga, nothing is problematic if we talk about children's issues, it's still normal for us, we handle it calmly," she concluded.
