Once Selling Peanuts and Rice Packets When Still Small, Inul Daratista: You Are Lucky Born Rich

From the experiences she had throughout her life, Inul finally concluded that life is simple and doesn't really need recognition from many people.

"This life is simple, as it is. When I was poor and had nothing, my father was just a village tailor whose income was not much, enough for daily meals even if someone sewed clothes for me, if not, my mother and I had to borrow rice from the store," wrote Inul Daratista on her Instagram.

1. Striving to Change Fate

Although born into a relatively impoverished family, Inul Daratista is not ashamed. She continues to strive and fight to change her fate for the better.

"I am not ashamed but I cannot accept this situation until I grow up, I must change my fate!!,"she said.

For her, unlike those who are born wealthy and have all their needs met, Inul must work hard to fulfill all her needs. In fact, she is willing to sell peanuts and wrapped rice, which she has been doing since she was a child.

"Happy are those who live as children of wealthy people, everything is sufficient, different from those who have nothing, can only imagine. My mother became a laundrywoman, I sold peanuts until my hands were injured from peeling hot water-soaked peanuts, selling wrapped rice, selling cigarettes by the roadside after school, I have done it all."

2. Not Living Greedily

Now, all of his years of hard work have paid off, and even in excess. Nevertheless, Inul does not want to be greedy and still tries to stay grounded.

"But when now everything is within my reach, I am not a greedy person. When I have possessions, I always consider whether I need them for my daily needs. Even though I have them, not everything must be in front of my eyes. Everything I have must have its usefulness, not for showing off," she said.
