Yusuf Ivander Damares, the only son of Inul Daratista and Adam Suseno, was born on May 19, 2009, after a long struggle through an IVF program. Ivan's presence is a highly anticipated blessing for this couple, considering their years of struggle to have a child.
Ivan grew up in a loving family environment, with Inul and Adam often sharing their moments together on social media. Although born into a celebrity family, Ivander is known as a simple, humble, and talented child.
Ivander's simplicity was revealed in a post on his YouTube channel. It was quite surprising when Ivan admitted that he usually spends Rp20 thousand and a maximum of Rp50 thousand a day on snacks.
"If at school one chicken costs Rp20 thousand, you already get potatoes and vegetables too. For snacks, it's usually around Rp20 thousand. At most Rp50 thousand a day," Ivan said as quoted from the Inul Daratista Official channel on Monday (23/12).
Being the only child of wealthy parents does not make Ivan a spoiled person. He often cooks his own meals to save money.Â
"When I get home, I usually go to the gym at PIM, and there I sometimes buy meat, sometimes chicken, cook at home so it won't be expensive, because if I want to buy chicken breast or buy ready-made meat at a restaurant, it can be expensive," Ivan said.
Ivan also admitted that he rarely asks his parents for pocket money because he has his own savings. "So far, if I ask just for pocket money, I never do, because I already have savings," he concluded.
Ivan is known to attend HighScope TB Simatupang High School, one of the top schools in Jakarta. Being the child of a wealthy celebrity does not make Ivan live in luxury. He prefers to live more frugally and simply.Â
