Performing the song 'Kulepas Dengan Ikhlas' at the LIDA 2020 Victory Night, Gunawan and Lesti Successfully Move the Judges to Tears

On the grand finale night of this prestigious dangdut event, each LIDA 2020 finalist performed a duet with their seniors. Hari (Jambi) performed the romantic song Cinta Rahasia with Weni DA, while Meli (West Java) dueted with Fildan DA singing the song Lebih Dari Selamanya.

As the third duet performer, Gunawan and Lesti's rendition of the song Kulepas Dengan Ikhlas on the stage of the LIDA 2020 Victory Night received a standing ovation from Nassar, Soimah, Inul Daratista, Dewi Perssik, Wedi DA and Fildan.

Not only that, the deadly duet performance of Gunawan and Lesti also makes Weni DA emotional. The singer from Pontianak cried throughout the song and wiped her tears with a tissue.

Kulepas Dengan Ikhlas which is Lesti's latest single was created by Adibal Sahrul shortly after Rizki DA got married. As it is known, the news of Lesti Kejora being left behind by her ex-lover when he got married had become a public spotlight.

Although the original version of Kulepas Dengan Ikhlas itself already makes people emotional, Gunawan's duet with Lesti showcases a different charm of this song. Especially because Gunawan added a dialogue about a couple who shed tears of separation in the middle of the song.

Adding dialogue to performances seems to be Gunawan's main method. Previously, Gunawan also added dialogue when duetting with Ruth Sahanaya performing the song Keliru.

During the Grand Final Concert of LIDA 2020, Gunawan had a dialogue in the Ambon language with Ruth Sahanaya during the interlude of the song owned by the diva. He received praise from the jury.
